INTRODUCTION
Library Instruction is slowly developing awareness not only among students but also faculty members, proof of which is the increasing number of requests the library receives daily. Gone are the days that researchers would rely merely on the card catalog or tangible resources that are available on hand.
With the proliferation of modern technologies, students, faculty members and other researchers clamour for a more extensive use of the library and its resources. And what a better way to keep abreast with time is by way of an extended library service through orientation, library tour, the so called “one-shot” non-course related lecture and the online tutorials
The first three are regular practice in the Miguel de Benavides Library. For the online tutorials, the Library has prepared five modules: the Research Process, Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC), Serials, Reference Materials, Online Databases.
This additional service is another opportunity for the library to promote information literacy. It is our hope that through these online tutorials, students' competence on the use of library resources will improve.
